On October 21, the Province of Santa Maria celebrated the 50th anniversary of its existence. It was a memorable day and of great significance: 50 years of life, history, and achievements. Many lives have been built, realized, and given to the service of a charism bequeathed by our Founders, Maria Clara do Menino Jesus and Raimundo dos Anjos Beirão – Hospitality.
The day consisted of a talk given by Fr. José Frazão Correia, SJ, on the theme Hospitality, a fraternal lunch among all the Sisters and ended with the celebration of the Eucharist, all rich in meaning and expression.
May this celebration bear strong and very salutary fruits for this Province, and may it leave in our history the seal of that moment when we surrendered to the provident and resplendent face of a God who pours out infinite graces on this Congregation. May this commemoration be a culmination of all of us grasping this light that comes to us from above, as an essence of the mirage that guides us to attend to the sorrows of the world, through our beautiful charism of Hospitality.
