In a spirit of reverence and jubilation, on December 09, 2023, CONFHIC commenced the 125th dearth anniversary of its Foundress, Blessed Maria Clara of the Child Jesus.
Maria Clara, Foundress of the Congregation of the Franciscan Sisters Hospitallers of the Immaculate Conception, deserves to be honored for her profound homage to the Church, because through her values and virtues, she contributed to its spiritual flourishing, in time and history.
On December 09, during the Eucharist, presided over by Cardinal Américo Aguiar, the Congregation began a year of reflection, gratitude, and spiritual rejuvenation for all the Sisters and faithful who venerate her with great appreciation.
125 years after her departure for Heaven, Maria Clara continues to be a life and model in the following of Jesus, through those who walk the paths of the evangelizing mission and the Works she has left us.
The 125th anniversary is a milestone and a call to deepen the timeless teachings and virtues practiced during Maria Clara’s existence. The Sisters and all the faithful are invited to imitate this unwavering commitment to a life centered on Christ and the values of the Gospel.
With this celebration and through this simple gesture, marking an eternal life, we ask the Lord of the Harvest to teach us to be sowers of Hospitality, in this world where hatred and war coexist, and to allow us the boldness to promote His peace, His warmth, His light and His Love.
Let us give glory to God for Clara, woven with “Threads of love and drama, but who, with the finest linen of her existence, was in solidarity with the underprivileged, being a Sister and a Mother”.
