CONFHIC: One Year After WYD with Blessed Maria Clara of the Child Jesus
One year after the 2023 World Youth Day (WYD) in Lisbon, a new chapter unfolded for a remarkable group of young people. On August 4 and 5, these youths gathered at the General Headquarters of CONFHIC to take part in a special mini-day event dedicated to Blessed Maria Clara of the Child Jesus, the Patroness of WYD 2023. This event was designed as an opportunity for reflection and spiritual growth, offering participants a chance to deepen their faith journey. During the event, moments of heartfelt prayer were experienced and shared, fostering meaningful dialogue and engagement with the topics explored. These young participants demonstrated genuine dedication and commitment to every aspect of the program. They spoke, listened, fully immersed themselves in each activity, and expressed a clear need for time to cultivate solid, lasting relationships—with God, with others, and with themselves. Highlighted as the most impactful moments were: the late-night Eucharist, morning prayer, personal and collective reflection, periods of silence, attentive listening, singing, and interactions with the Sisters. Each of these experiences allowed the young people to reflect both individually and as part of a group.
A final message to these dedicated young individuals: continue to journey forward, always striving to make our world more compassionate, humane, and fraternal.
CONFHIC is committed to supporting you on this enduring journey…
