To be apostles of God's tenderness and mercy is the mission that impels us to meet the most needy of all times, to welcome them and care for them with gestures of hospitality. We are called to evangelize by the way we live hospitality, in joy and simplicity of heart, imitating Mary, Host of the Word and of all people.
In this Jubilee Year of the 150th anniversary of the foundation of our Congregation, in the middle of a pandemic, we have been challenged to go out and meet so many of our brothers and sisters who are suffering and in need of everything. There are many filled - faith experiences, among the underprivileged, through the activities that help to lessen their needs.
Sharing our life in mission not only enriches us, but also helps us to broaden our horizon and reach out to those in need, as the Pope challenges us in his message for the World Day of the Poor.“Stretch forth your hand to the poor” – is thus a summons to responsibility and commitment as men and women who are part of our one human family. It encourages us to bear the burdens of the weakest (no.8).
How many outstretched hands and how much sacrifice can be made to save lives!
Here are some short videos sharing the missionary life of some of our fraternities, where our charism is expressed with concrete gestures of hospitality to the most needy.
