The FHIC lives her vocation in gratitude to God as is well said by the Foundress Blessed Maria Clara: by working, loving, and hoping, we will have corresponded to the sublime vocation to which God has called us to, choosing us from among so many others more worthy of this grace.
- Aspirancy – is the initial stage in the process of discerning a religious vocation and becoming a member of a religious community. This stage is focused on discernment, prayer, and spiritual growth.
- Postulancy – Postulants receive more structured formation and spiritual guidance. During postulancy, candidates deepen their understanding of the religious life and Charism of the Congregation.
- Novitiate – is a more intensive period of religious formation, lasting two years. This stage is characterized by a focus on prayer, study, and contemplation. They participate in prayer and fraternal life, and deepen their understanding of the vows (poverty, chastity, and obedience) that they will eventually profess.
- Temporary Profession – After completing the novitiate and undergoing further discernment, those who feel called to continue in religious life make temporary profession of vows.
- Final Profession – also known as perpetual or solemn profession, is the ultimate commitment to consecrated life. Final profession marks the individual’s full incorporation into the Congregation and its mission.
